Our story begins in 2008 when our CEO, Jarus, arrived in Lagos armed with nothing but a bag of dreams after completing his NYSC.

By 2013, at the age of 31, Jarus became a proud homeowner in his hometown. Jarus continued to break barriers, achieving another milestone in 2015—this time as a homeowner in the bustling heart of Lagos, all this achieved while working a 9-5 job. However, Jarus wasn't content to bask in his personal success alone. He observed a poignant truth—many hardworking young individuals, despite their dedication and decent earnings, were still unable to grasp the key to homeownership. Fueled by passion for positive change, Jarus embarked on a new mission: to make affordable homeownership a reality for every ambitious individual striving for success.

Meet Our CEO

Suraj “Jarus” Oyewale

Suraj “Jarus” Oyewale, FCA is the visionary leader behind Jarus Homes, a property development firm with landmark housing and office projects in Lagos, Abuja and Kwara State. Armed with academic training as an economist with a 1st class degree from Obafemi Awolowo University, OAU; professional expertise as a chartered accountant and fiscal policy analyst, and fueled by a strong interest in public analysis, Suraj is a multifaceted professional with a diverse and accomplished background.

 
Suraj’s illustrious career unfolded largely in Nigeria’s petroleum sector, where he garnered extensive experience in downstream, midstream, and upstream operations. His journey began in corporate finance with Vetiva Capital, followed by a 14-year tenure in the energy industry working with Oando, Seven Energy and Savannah Energy. A transition to consulting with PwC marked a pivotal moment, where Suraj leveraged his wealth of knowledge to navigate the complexities of consulting.

 
However, Suraj’s passion for real estate and the pursuit of building tangible dreams eventually led him to establish Jarus Homes. With a personal history of dedicating almost all his income to building personal houses over 15 years, Suraj’s decision to venture into the real estate business was a natural progression. Jarus Homes now stands as a trailblazer in Nigeria’s real estate space, redefining the landscape with a commitment to quality, affordability, and innovation.

 
Beyond the realm of real estate, Suraj is a prolific public analyst, contributing over 100 essays to prestigious Nigerian national dailies. A sought-after expert, Suraj is a regular guest on TV stations and platforms, providing authoritative views on oil and gas, taxation and fiscal policy, economic policies, and careers. Suraj Oyewale is also an author with four published books, a thought leader, and a dynamic professional whose journey reflects a relentless pursuit of excellence.
